When I experienced heartbreak this year, I wanted to find an activity that would help me grow and improve as a person, reduce my fear of loss, strengthen me physically, and increase my mindfulness. A simple Google search unearthed the place that would bring me to the boy that would help me with each of these goals - Junior. Junior, my best friend, is one of the horses at In Step With Horses, an organization dedicated to helping individuals rebalance their mental health while connecting with animals and nature. He has become a calming constant, a quiet confidant, and an inspiringly connected partner. I can't say enough about him, the place, and the people. A big piece of my heart is left behind in Chesterland after each time I leave Junior.
