On the Air Tonight

There’s no easy way to say this, so thank god we can type our words into notes as we sob into our phone. It is with heavy hearts that we call closing time on On The Air Tonight. Episode 66 will be our final episode. In our final episode, we chatted about the unfortunate ending of the show, Jake’s house-cooling party, and spent the lion’s share dissecting Tom’s recent obsession with the Harry Potter universe. From the bottom of our warped hearts, we want to thank you again for being a part of and building our community, it has truly meant the world to us. We will be back bigger and better than ever in the future. Until then, buh-bye xxx

EP 58 – The Oscars featuring KEITH SLIMCOCK (aka goon king) (aka Reece Herrick) KEEP MY WIFE’S NAME OUT YOUR F*****G MOUTH!!! Unless my wife’s name is On The Air Tonight, and last time I checked…I don’t have a wife. THIS WEEK we have a very special guest. He goes by many names, including Goon King, Keith Slimcock, Pebbles, Quadzilla…but for now, let’s just call him Reece. Reece is a longtime Free-To-Air Fighter, and passionate member of the OTAT Community. He’s been pushing for the job of ‘Show Producer’, but while we wait on HR to put together the relevant tax forms and position description, we invited Rice (another alias) onto the show as an honoured guest. Reece joined the boys to tell anecdotes from his rich tapestry of tales known as the “Goon Chronicles”. From his high school haydays, to share-house shenanigans, Reecey has seen a lot. We also got his expert opinion of the 2022 Academy Awards (streaming on 7 Plus), and he gave his educated analysis on the slap heard around the world. She’s a longer ep, but we hope you have as much fun tuning in as we did recording.

How goods this year been hey….A pandemic looms over us, World War is threatening, a natural disaster is ripping apart the east coast of our nation, and I called a co-worker “Mum”. Things really couldn’t get much worse, until we lost an Aussie icon, a cricketing legend, and a cult figure.This episode we pay tribute to the late and great Shane Keith Warne, who many label as the greatest cricketer of all time. This week the boys watch 'Hello Stranger' available on ABC Iview. A show that chats to a handful of strangers on the street then follows one home to tell their story via a 20 minute doco. KURT COLEMAN the GOAT is their first subject. We also recount Tom's tired Thai food tale, and read out mean comments we received from a Triple J Subreddit.

The boys celebrate free to air RADIO and TV this week.
