Mark Carney just announced the Canada Strong Fund and the media will probably sell it like it’s some brilliant nation building idea. I’m not buying it. In this episode, I break down why this so called sovereign wealth fund looks a hell of a lot more like another Liberal debt program dressed up with better branding. Countries like Norway built real wealth by selling their natural resources, building surpluses, and investing from strength. Canada? We’re buried in debt, running deficits, dealing with inflation, and still suffering from a decade of terrible Liberal policy. And now the same Liberal orbit that helped create this mess wants Canadians to believe more government spending is somehow the answer.
