LFMC discusses the exhibition TOYS ARE US and the artistic process behind it, focusing on Dutch history and storytelling in theater.
Tijdens deze OWRU Special ging LFMC in gesprek over het maakproces van de tentoonstelling TOYS ARE US. Een tentoonstelling waarin de Nederlandse geschiedenis en verhalen over historische figuren een grote rol spelen. Hoeveel artistieke vrijheid pak je als maker om deze verhalen vanuit een eigen perspectief te vertellen? Hoe verhouden wij ons tot geschiedschrijving volgens de canon van Nederland? En hoe doen makers dat vanuit de discipline theater? Waarin makers zich altijd verhouden tot repertoire, het verleden van de schrijver, eerdere uitvoeringen en andere geschiedenissen van een theaterstuk. LFMC nodigt makers uit verschillende disciplines van binnen en buiten het collectief uit om hierover in gesprek te gaan. De avond werd geleid door de vaste OWRU hosts Dionne Verwey en Brian Elstak.
