The episode discusses the implications of Doctrine and Covenants sections 133 and 134 in relation to the Second Coming and government roles.

It’s interesting to me that President Oaks became our new Prophet right before we got to these two sections of the Doctrine and Covenants. Section 133 is about preparing ourselves for the Second Coming (which we’ve heard a LOT about lately), but section 134 is about governments and how they’re supposed to serve the people. President Oaks was a justice of the Utah Supreme Court – he knows a bit about governments and how they’re supposed to work. I also find it interesting that he’s our prophet now when it seems like our government is a bit of a mess (it has been for a while – this isn’t a new thing). As we prepare for the second coming, what should our government look like? Is it supposed to be in chaos? Or should things be calm?  It’s not a mistake. Our Heavenly Father has a plan and it’s in motion. And the best part?
