Mona is a family law firm owner who overcame fertility struggles and underwent IVF treatments and then had natural pregnancies to become a mother of two. She then was diagnosed with premature ovarian insufficiency. In this episode, she discusses the physical and emotional challenges of perimenopause, including brain fog, hot flushes and mood swings, and her transformative experience using HRT. In this episode, we’re speaking with Andrea Clark, a highly experienced trichologist, stylist, and hair consultant with over 30 years in the hair industry. Splitting her time between Melbourne and Hong Kong, Andrea offers her expertise to salons in both cities and provides individual consultations to clients globally via Zoom. Her passion lies in helping clients overcome challenges like hair thinning, hair loss, and scalp conditions, as well as restoring hair’s overall health and condition. Andrea began her career as a stylist in Melbourne, before moving to Hong Kong in 2007 to join the prestigious Mandarin Salon at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. She advanced to senior stylist, then salon manager and artistic director, specialising in colour and cutting. Motivated by the common scalp and hair issues faced by her high-stress, time-poor clientele - and inspired by a meeting with the renowned trichologist Philip Kingsley - Andrea pursued certification in trichology with the International Association of Trichologists. This training has enabled her to combine science-based solutions with her stylistic expertise to provide comprehensive care for hair and scalp health.
