Philosophy in Real Life

This is a conversation with one of my close friends, Hugo, who is 25 years old. Hugo was diagnosed in October 2023 with stomach-gastric cancer, stage 4 (terminal cancer). It is one of the most difficult cancers to treat.Hugo has been given a life expectancy of approximately 10 months. He has been fighting cancer undergoing chemotherapy for 7 months.In this conversation we talk about how he found out the news, his emotional state, how he fights daily to maintain a positive attitude despite the prognosis.This conversation was initially done in Spanish. The video went viral and a lot of Hugo's friends do not speak Spanish. That is why we sat down again to have the conversation in English. In other words, if some people have more economic success and accomplishments than others is because they have worked harder.
