| 6/19/25 | ![]() Raise Your Own Bar Ep 29 | This week’s episode features someone I’ve known since high school — Justin Allen. He’s a powerhouse in sales and leadership, but what makes his story truly unforgettable is the resilience and heart behind it.In 2020, Justin survived a life-altering accident — he was electrocuted by his own stove. That moment forced him to completely rethink how he lived, led, and connected with others. In this conversation, we go deep into his personal journey, from traveling the country and thriving in his dream job, to facing the life-changing aftermath of his accident. Today, his focus has shifted to raising three boys, running a farm, and building a brand-new youth flag football league that’s bringing communities together. We also talk sales — the real kind, built on relationships, empathy, and genuine human connection. Justin reminds us that taking the time to get to know someone is more than a sales tactic — it’s an act of service. And when you lead with authenticity, people feel it.Whether you're in sales, leadership, parenting, or just trying to build something meaningful — this episode is full of insight, heart, and a whole lot of wisdom.🎧 Tap in — this one’s worth your time. | 6/3/25 | ![]() Raise Your Own Bar Ep 27 | Welcome back to Raise Your Own Bar, the show where we talk mindset, momentum, and making moves! In this episode, I’m joined by serial entrepreneur Alex Eubanks—a guy who’s not afraid to say yes to new ideas, new people, and new challenges. From consulting to firearms to whatever catches his interest next, Alex keeps raising his bar by stepping outside his comfort zone.We talk about the challenges of working from home as an entrepreneur and how tricky it can be to find balance when your living room is also your office. We also dig into how doing sales—especially as an introvert—can stretch your comfort zone fast. Alex shares some practical sales tips he’s picked up along the way.One big theme that comes up: self-awareness is the first step to greatness. Whether it’s embracing the awkward beginner phase, faking it ‘til you make it, or just putting in the reps—growth starts from within. We also talk about the power of community. Alex reminds us how important it is to surround yourself with people who give you honest feedback and bring positive energy. It’s hard to grow when you're stuck in an echo chamber—and even harder if the people around you are stuck in negativity.Plus, we get into why teenagers are dominating social media and what we can learn from their instincts. And we unpack how confidence can sometimes be mistaken for arrogance—when really, it’s just self-motivation and a solid work ethic. You can find more about Alex’s businesses at eubanksconsulting.us and eubanksfirearms.com.Let’s get into it!#RaiseYourOwnBar #SelfAwareness #Confidence #Consulting #JustSayYes This is a public episode. | 1/15/25 | ![]() Raise Your Own Bar Ep 16 | In episode 16, I had the opportunity to sit down with David Scott, cofounder of To Your Door LLC. Dave has had a lot of interesting experiences in his life, from being home schooled, performing stand up comedy (how we met), to being incarcerated. Dave shares some of his journey from getting in trouble with the law to starting a business--both in the pursuit of bringing medical cannabis to the market for people dealing with chronic pain or health conditions. He shares insight into his prison stint and finding his way back to his purpose, legally. Right as he was finishing serving three years for selling marijuana, Alabama changed their laws to allow for its medical use for the first time. Dave saw his opportunity to continue pursuing his vision and he formulated a business plan. Fast forward almost 4 years, and Dave is now the co-owner of To Your Door LLC, Alabama's first legal cannabis delivery service. He is now fulfilling his dream of helping people with natural products he believes in—this time on the right side of the law. During our conversation, we talk about a variety of things. We both share candidly about our difficulties of communicating with ADHD, dealing with mental health issues, and the importance of connecting with your own emotions to work through them instead of pushing them away. We also discuss the value of small talk for building real connections.
