"Even In The Latter Days" The Scriptures contain clues which reveal the inconsistencies or fallacies of church doctrines; many of which are relatively recent ideas which have been promoted for the purpose of "making proselytes". Jesus warns against these messengers [scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites, preachers]. “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” Matthew 23:15 Jesus instructed those who came to him seeking Eternal Life and salvation to "Keep my commandments." [The Big Ten] "When you do that my Father and I will move into you and lead and guide you into all truth." "A certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, "Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said unto him, "What is written in the law? how readest thou?" And he answering said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."
