| 9/2/26 | S5 Ep 31: The Impossible is Achieved | Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Alex Palou achieves the impossible! After crashing out in Phoenix earlier this year and being "out of the championship", he has fought his way back in a dominating fashion to win this year's IndyCar championship and becomes a 5-time IndyCar Champion! We recap the DC and Milwaukee races that led to him securing the title.Formula 1 returned from its summer break at Zandvoort which saw a rare mistake from Max Verstappen who crashed out on lap 1. In the end, Lando Norris walked away with the win as he and McLaren keep up the good form as of recently. Kimi Antonelli continues to show that he is the number 1 driver at Mercedes and extends his championship lead over George Russell.IMSA had its GT festival at VIR where Pfaff goes back to back in race wins for this year with the new Lamborghini Temerario.Ryan Blaney wins at New Hampshire and Ryan Preece wins at Daytona for the Cup Series.Coming up this weekend: F1 is at Monza, IndyCar is at Laguna, WEC is at COTA, and NASCAR is at Darlington. | 51m 06s | ||||||
| 8/19/26 | S5 Ep 30: Good & Bad from Markham | Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!A new street course with a mixed review. The weekend started off slow and bad after the track not being set up in time which led to no running at all on Friday. From there much of the scrutiny was about the hairpin which was a hot corner for action at a very very slow pace. In the end, the race turned out to be very entertaining with a full throttle run to the end that saw Marcus Ericsson charge through the top 5 and pass Romain Grosjean for the win in the final 10 laps. An excellent podium with Ericsson, Grosjean, and Power. With all that said, Palou finished a measly 4th which has extended his championship lead over the few behind him that are in contention. Now with a points lead of 133, we could see the championship decided this weekend on the streets of DC for the Freedom 250!Joey Logano wins at Richmond for the Cup Series.Coming up this weekend: F1 is at Zandvoort, IndyCar is in DC, IMSA is at VIR, SuperGT is at Suzuka, and NASCAR is at NHMS. | 52m 35s | ||||||
| 8/13/26 | S5 Ep 29: Portland & Iowa | Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Alex Palou just keeps on rolling with another win this season at Portland. He is now 110 points clear of Kyle Kirkwood in 2nd place which is quite the position to be in for someone who is "out of the championship"....The race was fairly straight forward with some good mid-pack battles as strategy unfolded. Palou did have a great radio exchange with his engineer which highlighted really well just how dominant he is performing. From here, we have four straight weeks more of racing to cap off the IndyCar season which is plenty of racing to watch!Ty Gibbs wins at Iowa for the Cup Series.Coming up this weekend: IndyCar is at Markham and NASCAR is at Richmond. | 48m 33s | ||||||
| 8/6/26 | S5 Ep 28: Road America Review | Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!IMSA went to Road America where they held their first 6 hour endurance race there. The racing was good but came with some controversy. A lot of cautions mainly due to the LMP2s and with some inconsistencies on rulings from race control lead to on track battles overheating on track leading to a very hard ending for two drivers and teams. Wayne Taylor Racing took the victory in the end for GTP which is a great result for them as this Cadillac has been eluding them lately compared to the Whelan Cadillac team. Pfaff in the new Lamborghini Temerario took the win in GTD Pro giving the Temerario its first international endurance racing victory!Coming up this weekend: IndyCar is at Portland, NASCAR is in Iowa, BTCC is at Knockhill, Super Formula is at Sugo, and MotoGP is at Silverstone. | 53m 34s | ||||||
| 7/29/26 | S5 Ep 27: New IndyCar Announced | Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures! The bad luck just keeps on going for George Russell as his woes continue to favor Kimi Antonelli in the championship with a very level headed performance that gave him a 3rd place finish in Hungary. Neither Mercedes driver was a match for the pace of the McLarens ultimately in the end as Lando and Oscar were leading out in front as 1-2 for majority of the race until Oscar's gearbox gave out leading to a retirement from the race. Lando finished 1st and became the 5th different winner this year! Max Verstappen completed the podium with a hard fought 2nd place in a car that definitely was not 2nd fastest. Aston Martin had a promising weekend as they saw some of the benefits of the upgrades brought to the car. With this improvement and Honda's expected updates coming onboard for Zandvoort, I don't think its too far fetched to say they might have good opportunities to get some points potentially in the second half of the season.IndyCar unveiled its new IR28 this week which will be 100 lbs lighter than the current car that includes a lighter gearbox and chassis. It is expected to output 760-800hp from the 2.4L V6 turbo engines which include a hybrid system that appears to play a larger role than what it currently does.. Heim wins the Brickyard 400 in Cup.Coming up this weekend: IMSA is Road America, SuperGT is at Fuji, and Supercars are in Perth. | 49m 08s | ||||||
| 7/22/26 | S5 Ep 26: Mid-Summer Recap | Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Kimi Antonelli rebounds with a win at Spa to eek out his championship lead gap especially after a DNF from George Russell who suffered a battery output mishap on Lap 1. We don't spend too much time on this subject but do highlight the criticisms around the current state of F1 that were on full blast this weekend with the downsides of the current regulations being exposed with the layout of Spa.Alex Palou does it again and pulls a win out of nowhere at Nashville after dominant Penske performances by Malukas and McLaughlin for most of the race. Fortunate timings of mid-race cautions allowed Palou to jump up front and then he was able to hold off not one, not two, but three Penske cars in the final stint of the race. Palou extends his championship lead over Malukas as they enter a week break before the start of the gauntlet begins out west at Portland. We touch on IMSA at Mosport and WEC at Interlagos as we were away last week to review them.Logano wins at North Wilkesboro in Cup.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at the Brickyard and F1 is at Hungary. | 47m 02s | ||||||
