About this episode

In this episode, John Rolph discusses his parody screenplay of 'Return of the King' and the storytelling elements involved.

Well this is it - the day has finally come to rip off that stinky band-aid and just put it all out there! 😶 As was discussed in Episode 10, I made a parody ROTK script🧾 when I was 19-20 years old. Since then I've made some updates here and there but most of its content has been unblemished; the reason being is that I wanted to hold true to what my younger self created, albeit at times it is very apparent that a 19-20 year old wrote it 😊 🎬For Part 1, you will learn that it is not simply a film about Frodo Baggins' quest nor is it solely portraying the events that led to the final battle before the Black Gates of Morrddoorrrrr (yes, I say 'Mordor' like that). Instead, the Narrarator 🧐 has just as an important task as Frodo (if you were to question the former he would state that HE held the edge on importance) and being the Narrarator means being in charge of a seamless telling of an epic tale of heroism, sacrifice, friendship, and a lot of patience with the motely crew (me) he has to work with to get the scenes just right, 🙌 Hint: that never happens 🤭 (If you choose to skip over my intro, that's just rude. 😄 The script reading begins at 15:22) Anyways, I hope you enjoy…
