Scripture says something far greater—Jesus is the Son of God who came near to us. John 1:14 says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” God stepped into our world—not as a distant ruler, but as a Savior who walked where we walk, felt what we feel, and faced our struggles. Hebrews 4:15 says He knows temptation, pain, and rejection—yet He lived without sin. Here’s our problem: unlike Him, we sin. Sin isn’t only breaking rules; it’s pushing God aside to go our own way. We see it in pride, selfishness, and anger. Sin separates—it steals peace, harms relationships, and ultimately separates us from God. Why did Jesus have to die? Because sin carries a real penalty.
