| 9/4/25 | ![]() 23: Who Knows You? | Welcome to the Season 2 premier of the Scrap Guys Solutions podcast!"It's not what you know or who you know, it's who knows you?" Jeremy received this advice about 25 years ago and in this episode, he provides some real-life examples of why it's so important to build relationships, expand your network, and most importantly, leave a positive impression with people you meet.Ask yourself, when someone is hiring for an important position within a company, or when someone is looking to fill a board seat for a local non-profit, are they going to recruit you? Next time time you meet someone new, make sure to leave a positive impression because you never know when you might meet them again in the future, ow when you might need them for something in the future, or they might need you for something in the future. You can get in touch with Jeremy by emailing: ScrapGuySolutions@gmail.comMake today your day. | 11/19/24 | ![]() 20: Interview with Nick & Shanna Quimby | Take a moment to imagine the unimaginable. Imagine being told that your three year old child has a rare disease that will very likely result in death. You can slow the progression of the disease, but unfortunately it’s too late for any type of treatment to cure the disease or stop the progression. This unimaginable situation was the new reality for Nick & Shanna Quimby and ultimately resulted in the devastating loss of their son Gavin when he was five. They turned this unimaginable and devastating situation into a mission to help other families facing something similar. Their tireless efforts have led to the expansion of the newborn screening list and the Minnesota Rare Disease Advisory Council. But they won’t stop until their dream of getting MLD added to the newborn screening list is fulfilled. They also started the Gavin Quimby Research Fund at the University of Minnesota to support research and gene therapy for kids. If interested, you can donate to the Gavin Quimby Research Fund by mailing a check to the address below. Miller Scrap & Disposal is also making a donation to the Gavin Quimby Research Fund for every new customer who signs up for Miller Disposal's local trash service during the month of November.Nick and Shanna's efforts in memory of their son Gavin are already helping save lives here in Minnesota and across the country. | 7/16/24 | ![]() 13: Unite America (Special Edition) | I can't stop thinking about the assassination attempt on President Trump. I’m getting a lot of questions everywhere I go, and at this point, I don’t know anything more than what I’ve seen on social media or the news, but I do know something has to change in our country and it's time for us to come together. The hate and pure disrespect needs to stop. The anti-American mentality needs to change. We need to unite as a county for the good of the country. Instead of working against each other, we need to work together to find common ground on the very issues that affect the people of our great nation. We don’t have to agree on politics. We can have differing views on issues, and in this country we have the right to vote for whomever we want, however, we can do it in a respectful manner without the hate. We can do it in a way where we try to find common ground, and we can do it in a way that makes us all proud to live in the greatest county in the world. I’m darn proud to be an American and I hope you are too! For the good of our country, now is the time for us all to do better. It's time to start a movement to unite America. To contact Jeremy, please check out www.ScrapGuySolutions.com or send an email to: ScrapGuySolutions@gmail.com | 6m 09s | ||||||

| 7/1/24 | ![]() 11: How to earn respect | INTRODUCTION: Family road trip to the college world series! HOW TO EARN THE RESPECT OF OTHERS: There are three things everyone of us can do to earn respect from others. First, one of the best ways to earn the respect of others is to be respectful to others. It truly is as easy as treating others the way you would like to be treated. The second thing we can all do to earn respect from others is to be honest. Be honest and be true to yourself and others. The third thing that will help you earn respect is getting things done. Proving you get results. Anyone can say anything they want to say, but results speak for themselves. You will earn the respect of others when you say you are going to do something and you do it. When you follow through. When you put in the time and the effort and you work your butt off to get it done.Treating others with respect, being honest, and getting things done are three things every one of us has the ability to do, if we want to, to help earn respect from others. There is no doubt you can do it, but you and only you can go out and do it. So go do it!Make today your day. Figure out what you want. Then get started, stick with it, and go make it happen!PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES: Please consider saying a prayer or sending well wishes to someone who may need them.GET IN TOUCH: Please check out www.ScrapGuySolutions.com or email ScrapGuySolutions@gmail.com to get in touch with Jeremy.UNTIL NEXT TIME, PEACE OUT! | 26m 34s | ||||||
| 6/17/24 | ![]() 10: Tribute to the Minnesota Timberwolves | What a season! The Minnesota Timberwolves brought some much needed excitement and energy to sports fans and non-sports fans alike all across the state of Minnesota and beyond. And better yet, the future of the franchise is bright! Anthony Edwards is absolutely incredible! We have Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, and of course the 6th man of the year, Naz Reid. Not only these guys, but our guys coming off the bench would also step up when needed. When someone was struggling, others stepped up to make things happen. Our superstars made our role players better and our role players made our superstars better. It was a team effort, which made it all that much sweeter! There is a lot of excitement and hope for the Minnesota Timberwolves! Not only do we have a solid nucleus of players, but we have a strong coaching staff with Chris Finch leading the way and a championship team builder in Tim Conley as president of Basketball Operations. Tim Conley made things happen in Denver by building a championship team there and let's hope that he and the rest of the team can do it right here in Minnesota! We are moving in the right direction and let’s keep that momentum going. It's time to bring a championship to Minnesota! After all, next year is our year! | 16m 58s | ||||||
| 6/3/24 | ![]() 9: Interview with Jerry and Pat Papenfuss | In this episode, you will hear how two farm kids from different parts of Minnesota met in Winona after high school, fell in love, got married, grew a successful radio business while raising a family, and to this day, continue to actively volunteer and support the community they have lived in for decades. And how did they do it. They did it by betting on themselves. They did it by putting in the hard work, by putting in the effort, they did it by building a team and empowering that team. They did it with good communication with each other and those around them. They did it by pushing and ultimately motivating others to be the best they can be. They did it with a neighbors helping neighbors attitude. They did it by doing what it takes to make things happen.Jerry and Pat are a modest power couple. And when I say modest, I mean modest. Jerry and Pat don’t live a flashy lifestyle, but rather a more low-key and under the radar lifestyle. After all, it is the Winona way! | 43m 51s | ||||||
