If you are in town this weekend, I hope you will come and worship with us in person. If not, I hope you will join us online as we continue the thought, “We are Better Together.” While Jesus Christ was on the earth in a physical body He was committed to that truth. As He began His earthly ministry, one of the first things He did was to gather together His small group! Mark 3:13-15 – And He went up on the mountain and summoned those whom He Himself wanted and they came to Him. 14/ And He appointed twelve, so that they would be WITH HIM, and that He would send them out to preach, 15/ and to have authority to cast out the demons. Everything He did while fulfilling His purposes before going to the Cross, He did with and in view of His small group. Jesus was strategic. On the night before He went to the cross He prayed, John 17:4,6 – “I glorified You on the earth having accomplished the work which you have given me to do…I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they kept Your Word.” JESUS CHOSE TO “GLORIFY GOD ON EARTH,” AND “TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK HE HAD BEEN GIVEN TO DO,”THROUGH THE STRUCTURE AND STRATEGY OF A…
