Have you ever asked yourself, "Okay, I feel like maybe I know what the Gospel is, but do I really understand what it means?" Listen here. I get it. It's a "Christanese" word, and sometimes it loses its power because Christian culture waters down the gospel. SOOOO actually, the Gospel is for YOU! Not just for the person beside you who seems like they have it all put together. Jesus came for you! BUT, when we do know the Gospel, and when we have Jesus, we have a task to go and share it with others. I never want to sugarcoat the truth; I love talking about topics (as a Jesus-follower) that may be overlooked. Trust, life isn't easy. I am beyond excited to have had the opportunity to bring @avagranzow on the podcast this week to talk about all things following Jesus in an atmosphere where it may not be the easiest. Ava and I, both being involved in our college campus in many ways, including Greek life, have had to learn how to find purpose in everyday life. The Enemy LOVES to attack, especially with what you’re tempted with. But Jesus has ALREADY won and we can LIVE in FREEDOM! Freedom in the eyes of Jesus is different than the freedom in the eyes of the world, but it’s so much better. Ava and I's friendship has bloomed tremendously over the past months, in ways that God has been working silently behind the scenes for years. I'M BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER, PEOPLE! Studying abroad and 3 jobs over the summer created an area for me to take a break to learn the voice of God and to be the best version of myself. I believe that I am in a season of mentorship, both through this podcast as well as outside. This episode talks about my life and what's happening, as well as diving straight into harsh truths that the Lord had to teach me- breaking off things like pride and religion over my life. My grandadad, Mike Humble, is well-known and loved. He is real with life and has experienced things that the common human typically doesn't. He grew up as a football player, never wanting to be a preacher, but God created his wife for ministry- ranging from prison ministry on death row to street evangelism in the dark. I am very passionate about being real and confidence is something that everyone thinks about... Am I pretty enough? Do I fit in here? Am I good enough to do this? These are all things that are very natural to ask ourselves. Good thing God calls us loved and offers us confidence to do the things we are meant to. Walk with confidence, even if you don't feel it.
