Roy Stride is a Singer, Songwriter and Producer- best known for fronting the multi-platinum selling band, Scouting for Girls, with hits such as ‘She’s So Lovely’ and ‘This Ain’t a Love Song.’ Roy wrote and produced four top 10 albums for Scouting for Girls as well as writing and producing songs for a diverse range of artists, such as 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction. And now Scouting for Girls are back with new music and a headline tour! In this episode Roy discusses his musical journey and how hard work and determination is what led to the bands success. He opens up around his beliefs that our lives are written for us and we are where we are meant to be. His three Sliding Doors Moments include: Forming the band – the phone line that wasn’t engaged, getting signed – the demo CD the exec never normally listens to, and “She’s So Lovely” – rewriting the lyrics and accidentally rewriting the band.
