8 At this, his neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging began to ask, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was, but others said, “No, he just looks like him.” But the man kept saying, “I am the one.” 10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked. 11 He answered, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and anointed my eyes, and He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed and received my sight.” 12 “Where is He?” they asked. “I do not know,” he answered. REFLECTIONS Written by Ian Mu This passage came at the right time for me, as I was starting to feel like I was unchangeable. This week, a friend of mine was worried that I wasn’t prioritising church and God, and I shared that my struggle has been ongoing, and that I was worried I couldn’t change. But here I am reminded that God can change people. We see the aftermath and the testimony of this blind man who was healed. The blind man listened and obeyed Jesus. Jesus told him to go somewhere, and the blind man, who could not see, went. When he was healed, the people who knew him before were surprised. They were so surprised that they even debated…
