Good morning! Here's your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service Jacksonville. We're looking at a beautiful Thursday ahead with mostly sunny skies and moderate rip current activity along the beaches. Surfers and swimmers should be aware that life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone today. Waves will be running two to three feet in Northeast Florida and around two feet down in Georgia, with light south winds becoming southeast and ramping up to around fifteen miles per hour by late afternoon. It's going to be hot out there. Expect highs in the upper eighties, but the heat index will push up to one hundred and one degrees, so make sure you're staying hydrated and applying that sunscreen. Speaking of sun protection, we've got a very high UV index today, so that sunscreen isn't optional. Water temperatures are in the lower eighties along Northeast Florida and around eighty degrees down in Georgia, so conditions are warm and inviting for a dip. Tide-wise, you'll see lows hitting around eleven o'clock in the morning at most Northeast Florida beaches, with high tides rolling in around five thirty to…
