Good morning surfers and beach lovers! Let's dive into what Mother Ocean is cooking up for us this Friday and Saturday along the North Carolina coast. Starting with the Northern Outer Banks from Duck down to Nags Head, we're looking at a beautiful Friday with sunny skies and two to three foot waves. The moderate rip current risk is in effect through this evening, so please keep your wits about you if you're heading out. Water temps are sitting in the mid 60s, so a wetsuit is your friend. The high today reaches the mid 80s with light southwest winds at five to ten miles per hour. Come Saturday, conditions mellow out nicely with low rip current risk and those same two to three foot waves. Perfect beach day shaping up. Moving south to Hatteras Island, things get a bit spicier. North of Cape Hatteras, we're dealing with high rip current risk today with surf reaching two to four feet. A Beach Hazards Statement is in effect through this evening, so definitely respect the ocean's power up there. South of Cape Hatteras, we've got moderate rip current risk and slightly smaller two to three foot waves. Water's a touch warmer in the upper 60s. Come Saturday, the rip current situation…
