Good morning, this is your West Central and Southwest Florida Surf Zone Forecast for Sunday, April 26th through Monday, April 27th. Starting with the northern beaches from Cedar Key down through Homosassa and Hudson, we're looking at fantastic conditions throughout this forecast period. Today expect mostly sunny skies with light southwest winds between five and ten miles per hour. Surf heights will remain minimal at one foot or less, and rip current risk stays low. However, keep in mind that life-threatening rip currents can still develop near groins, jetties, and piers. Water temperatures are pleasant at mid seventies, and the UV index is very high, so sunscreen is definitely recommended. Highs will reach the upper seventies. Tonight stays mild with lows around seventy degrees and partly cloudy skies under light west winds. Monday continues the trend with mostly sunny skies, northeast winds around five miles per hour, and highs climbing to around eighty degrees. Moving south to the Tampa Bay area including Clearwater Beach, Saint Pete Beach, and Bradenton Beach, today brings sunny skies with light southwest winds.
