John 17:11b-19 The longest recorded prayer from the Lord Jesus in Scripture is found only in the gospel of John; it is called His "High Priestly Prayer" in that much of it is a prayer of intercession on behalf of those He loves. It was actually a pre-cross "sneak" preview of Christ's post-cross intercessory work as High Priest of His Church. In this lesson, we discuss the Lord's requests made to His Heavenly Father on behalf of the Apostles. He prayed for their unity, for their joy, for their protection, and for their sanctification.
