| 8/11/26 | Selling in an AI/DI World | In this episode of The Corporate Entrepreneur, Marc Gilenson explores how selling to corporations is shifting from human-led persuasion to intelligence-led buying and selling. As buyers become more informed, procurement becomes more data-driven, and AI-generated voices, video representatives, and Digital Intelligence personas become more capable, the traditional salesperson is no longer automatically at the center of the sale. DI will increasingly be able to serve different stakeholders — users, technical evaluators, finance, procurement, legal, and senior management — with tailored conversations, deeper memory, better documentation, and more consistent follow-through. The episode challenges the idea that sales will always depend on human relationships, closing techniques, and sales management motivation. Instead, Marc argues that closing will become less about pressure and more about creating a mutually beneficial go-forward strategy. As seller DI and buyer DI begin to evaluate, compare, negotiate, and document transactions, many business development roles will be reduced, redesigned, or replaced. The question is no longer whether AI will help salespeople sell better, but whether DI will make many traditional sales roles unnecessary. | — | ||||||
