About this episode
Adam and his daughter Isla discuss their screen time app WYZLY and the recent updates from the American Academy of Pediatrics on screen time recommendations.
This bonus episode of The Dad Verb Podcast features Adam and his 10-year-old daughter Isla from WYZLY. WYZLY is a screen time app that turns kids' device time into a learning opportunity — instead of hard cutoffs, kids answer educational questions to earn more screen time. Isla is the co-founder and president of the company, and she joins us to share her side of the story. 📱 About WYZLY WYZLY was born from Isla's own frustration with traditional screen time apps. When the timer ran out, she'd run to her dad begging for more time. Her idea: why not have kids answer questions to unlock the device instead of fighting with parents? Adam and Isla couldn't find an app like that, so they built one. WYZLY targets kids ages 6–13 and uses a "Learn to Earn" rewards-based system powered by AI-generated questions. The app was featured at CES in January and has been racking up thousands of downloads. A new avatar customization feature is on the way. 👤 About Adam & Isla Adam is the co-founder and CEO of WYZLY. Isla, his 10-year-old daughter, is co-founder and president. She joins calls daily, drew the logo, gives design feedback, and tests the product for her age group…
