In this episode of The Daybreak Podcast, we sat down with Tessa LeBaron at her studio at the Negative Space Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. "My name is Tessa LeBaron, I'm a visual artist in Cleveland, Ohio. I create work such as portraits, animals, vibrant landscapes, and visualizations of the subconscious mind. My original artwork mainly revolves around the themes of femininity and nature. Over the years, I've developed an illustrative style in acrylic and watercolor painting and I use a palette of vibrant colors, which emote a range of feeling from fervent to tranquil. The use of seeming ‘psychedelic’ pigment can transmit a sense of joy and whimsy. My goal is for viewers to examine how the environment can elicit a certain thought or feeling and to focus on what nature has to offer us; growth, progression and healing. I have freelance work experience from commission work, logo design, and painting murals. All over Ohio, I've created large scale murals for many local businesses and public art projects.
