About this episode

The episode discusses the importance of intergenerational friendships and the Pen Pal program at Drake School.

Intergenerational friendships can teach us so much, but schools don’t often make time to foster them—Drake School in Saskatchewan is trying to change that. With their “Pen Pal” museum takeover at the Western Development Museum, where students and senior pen pals explored exhibits together and built meaningful connections. To talk about the event, which took place yesterday, and the Pen Pal program, Evan is joined by Gayle Warkentin, one of the senior pen pals, Erin Richard, Principal of Drake School, and Giana Movilla, a student at Drake School and junior pen pal.
