Today we look back at my episode on how incentives work against good outcomes.The episode originally aired as episode 37 on 21/1/2024 and here are the show notes from that episode:Many of us have seen incentives play out badly in family court, with solicitors milking Legal Aid, milking parents, parents making false allegations to get Legal Aid, prolonging cases and taking a case that could resolve amicably and blowing it out of the water to the detriment of parents and children.In this episode I discuss how incentives in other industries, and disruption to them, could improve things for parents and children if applied to family law. I revisit an episode I did about coping at Christmas. I replay this episode each year as it may help people cope with specific challenges at this time of year. Christmas can be a difficult time whether you are a targeted parent or not. This episode first aired in Christmas 2022 and it highlights 12 ways to help you cope with #ParentalAlienation or #FamilyCourtWe have episodes published and planned with experts in their fields to go into depth in specific areas but for now I wanted to give a quick list of many things you can try. In my experience nothing works all the time but many things work at different times and that's fine. As John Lennon said 'Whatever gets you through the night'.This is the seventh Christmas for my case. By Christmas 2018 I hadn't seen my child for over 2 months. It was terrible but, little did I know, the abuse was only just beginning. Despite a solicitors letter my abuser wouldn't allow even a moment with our child. Are abusers oblivious to the heartbreak that causes or do they revel in it?I am no expert in the ideas in this episode but I have tried many of them and found they help. This episode is just a quick surface run through which may provide you a springboard to try them or find out more by searching the internet or Youtube. Whether you are seeing your children or not, have a good Christmas. The system is broken and causes harm to us and the children but change will come in time. Parts of the world are improving so there is hope. Above all stay strong for your children. Many listeners are suffering alienation because a co-parent has taken their children. Others are going through divorce and suffering stress and an uncertain outcome. Many are suffering psychological abuse. If you are still living with your co-parent and are suffering physical abuse seek immediate help.If your life is in danger through physical or psychological abuse, assault or suicide please contact support services whether it is the police or suicide prevention charities. Do what you can. Look after yourself for your children. Thomas Williams was born in Liverpool UK and moved to America in 2002. He is an avid researcher, author of two books called From His Story to Our Story, volumes 1 and 2.He is the owner of a charity foundation designed to help struggling people, the creator of a community village in New Mexico, a radio show host of the Truth, Honor & Integrity show, or THI show.He is the producer of a new document and manifesto called The New Blueprint for Humanity, which will be hand delivered to the White House, the UN, Elon Musk and many other prominent people.The website for that is thenewblueprintforhumanity.orgHis community also has working groups on growing your own food, health remedies and true law.Roger Isaacs was born in the UK and grew up in Cornwall. His family originates from Glamorganshire on his Mother’s side and Devon and Cornwall on his Father’s. At 17 he joined the Royal Air Force and worked as an Air Defence Technician for 7 years. In 1987 he emigrated to Canada to reconnect with his mother, sister and brother. In 1990 Roger moved to British Columbia where he continued to work in the Telecommunications industry and raised a family of 2 daughters.In 1990 Roger started training in the martial art of Aikido with Mind & Body Unified. He has been teaching Universal Principles and Aikido for over 28 years and is the Chief Instructor of his dojo and a certified full lecturer with the Ki Society International. Roger joined THI in 2017 and has been following Thomas Williams podcasts since then. In 2019 as he was studying law, he was asked to lead the Law Group in THI. His study led him to Frank O’Collins and Ucadia. He wants to share what he’s learned about the True Rule of Law, the provenance of modern Western-Roman law and why there has been no rule of law since the 16th century. He is passionate about encouraging people to study Ucadia, learn who we are, what is the true rule of law and how to restore the true rule of law in our societies.
