| 4/28/26 | Ep 52: The Inaugural Longlist Hall Of Fame | It's been one year since Josh and Jack started The Longlist. We'd like to thank everyone who has participated, actively or passively, and thank everyone who has supported us in any way. For this episode, we've created a most prestigious fictional hall of fame to elect movies in various categories that we've discussed over this past year. There is no greater honor than being elected into this hallowed ground. Enjoy! Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd) | 1h 41m 13s | ||||||
| 4/21/26 | Ep 51: Sci Fi Part 1 | We're embarking on a larger project with this episode, attempting to tackle the genre of Science Fiction in movies. This is part 1 of that exercise with the sub topic of focusing on Post Apocalyptic and Dystopian movies. Josh and Jack are joined by their good friend, Jason Slavin, who has a strong background in this department. It's impossible to cover a genre completely, but we tried our best and had a blast. | 4/14/26 | The 50th Episode | For our 50th episode Jack and Josh thought of something fun: they each brought a list, unknown to there counterpart, with 50 entries on said list. It was a lot of fun to record. The guys were laughing, predicting what would show up next on the list, and of course there is a plethora of reactions to some wild entries. We hope you enjoy! | 4/7/26 | Episode 49: Resume Gaps | We're baring our soul on this podcast and revealing some big time resume gaps in our movie watching cannon. Jack and Josh are joined by their good friend, Adam Murray, and they each watched a big time movie that they'd never seen before to break it down on this weeks episode. It lead to a lot of fun conversations and this is definitely a topic we'll come back to. We did the same thing with Titanic earlier in the podcast feed. Josh's wife, Rebecca is back to help the guys out. Enjoy! | 3/24/26 | Episode 47: Ryan Gosling | In honor of his new movie, Project Hail Mary, we decided to do an episode centered around one of our collective favorite movie stars, Ryan Gosling. What a career, and it feels like he's still on the upward trajectory. He really can do it all, action, comedy, romance, drama, indie, blockbuster, you name it. Jack and Josh had a lot of fun breaking down his career with a variety of different lists. Ryan Gosling has something for everyone. Then in the second half of the episode, the guys get weird and deliver a bunch of lists of which the other is not aware. It's a true wild card in the second half. Lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of double takes. We had a blast. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd) | 1h 50m 17s | ||||||

We had a blast recording and we hope you have fun listening. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd) | 1h 37m 40s

We decided to strike while the iron was hot and do a whole episode on this awesome hang out nature documentary. Plus it's Jack's 19th favorite film of all time, so he didn't mind. In this episode, Josh and Jack are joined by Drew Wolff and break down some of our favorite movie scores to date. Also, if you would like to hear some of our selections, Jack made a Spotify playlist (The Longlist: Best Scores Listening Guide) so that you can follow along or listen to them afterwards. | 12/16/25 | WB Sale and Other News | We have a bit of a different episode today on The Longlist. Jack and Josh try to make sense of all the different angles of the Warner Bros. sale. It's an impossible task, but they gave it the old college try. At the end of the episode they touch on a few minor news stories around the world of Hollywood. On a final note, a few hours after recording, the news of the deaths of both Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner broke. What a tragic loss that shook the world of movies to it's core. We're sure to do a Rob Reiner episode down the line, but we didn't talk about it much in this podcast because it happened after recording. Thoughts, love and prayers go out to the family and loved ones. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd) | 1h 35m 22s
| 12/9/25 | Dumb and Dumber | In this episode, Jack and Josh are joined by their good friend, Austin Thompson to discuss one of the wildest and most endearing comedies of the 90s, Dumb and Dumber. Remember when studios use to make comedies? Like, all the time? It doesn't seem to happen as much anymore, but the mid 90s were ripe with comedies and this one is one of the best. And Jim Carrey hit the scene like a wildfire and took over Hollywood for a few years. We had a lot of fun breaking down this movie and we hope you have fun listening. Music credit: Happy and Fun Kids Jazz by Alex Productions- (Free Music Archive), (cc by-nd) | 1h 49m 33s | ||||||
