About this episode
David Spencer discusses the journey of Charlie Roberts as he transitions from Australia to the UK to pursue a career in sport production.
Charlie Roberts first came to me for advice in late 2023 and after a few mentoring sessions, working on CV and cover letters, he told me that he was moving from Australia to the UK and going to try and land a job in sport production. He had no opportunities lined up - but showed the determination and persistence to get a job at IMG. If you need CV advice like Charlie did or help with cover letters and interviews then mentoring sessions are available via the website . Also there are 6 pages of media jobs to browse. There is also a WhatsApp channel for job alerts as I find the listings. If you have any questions about media careers or a story that you would like to share about job hunting, then please get in touch. More details about The Media Mentor can be found here .
