Historic and symbolic! And…Biblical!!!The other day, I was blessed to be at a historic event where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the renaming of Highway 60 as the Biblical Highway, and it could not be more fitting.This highway runs through the heartland of Judea and Samaria, connecting many of the most important places in the Bible: Hevron, Beit El, Shiloh, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Beer Sheba, and so many other locations where the story of the Jewish people unfolded.What makes this even more special for me is that the idea came from my friend Yishai Fleisher. He suggested it, the Prime Minister loved it, and now it is becoming reality. And The Ari Fuld Project helped as well.Think about how far we have come.Between 1948 and 1967, there were essentially zero Jews living in Judea and Samaria. Today, more than half a million Jews live, build, raise families, and strengthen our biblical homeland. And now, a modern four-lane Biblical Highway runs through the very landscape where our ancestors walked thousands of years ago.There is something powerful about being able to say:“I'm traveling on the Biblical Highway."Or, more realistically:“I'm stuck in traffic on my way my home on the Biblical Highway."But that traffic itself is a sign of Jewish life, growth, and return to our homeland.The story of the Jewish people is not one of exile and victimhood. Hezbollah continues to violate the ceasefire and attack Israel. In recent days, multiple IDF soldiers have been killed.Put aside, for a moment, the deeply troubling statements made recently by President Trump and Vice President Vance regarding Israel. Focus on the fatal flaw built into this entire framework.The deal leaves Iran in control of Lebanon through Hezbollah.The United States says it wants to stop Iranian aggression and bring stability to the region. Yet Hezbollah remains untouched—Iran’s military, political, and terror arm inside Lebanon.Hezbollah is not simply another terrorist organization. It is Iran’s occupation force in Lebanon. It dominates major parts of Lebanon’s political and security system, exists to advance Tehran’s regional jihad, and remains armed for one central purpose: threatening and attacking Israel.Any serious agreement designed to curb Iranian aggression would have required Hezbollah to be removed from Lebanon’s military and political equation. Instead, the framework leaves Iran’s most important regional proxy intact.The result is predictable.Iran will continue using Hezbollah to attack Israel.Iran will continue using Hezbollah to dominate Lebanon.And Lebanon will remain hostage to Tehran.This is why Netanyahu faces a test—not merely from Trump, but from God.Will Israel surrender to international pressure and abandon the security zones necessary to protect Israeli lives? Will Israel stop acting against Hezbollah while Hezbollah continues preparing for the next war?So far, Netanyahu is passing that test.Israel has not withdrawn from southern Lebanon. The IDF continues operating against Hezbollah. Israel understands that no foreign leader, friend or foe, can be trusted with Israel’s security.The clearest proof came last night: Israel struck Hezbollah, Iran walked away from negotiations, and the fighting continued. Nothing fundamental has changed.Iran will never accept a final agreement that ends its nuclear ambitions, dismantles its terror network, and abandons its regional jihad. This diplomatic theater is a temporary pause before the next stage.Israel must remain clear-eyed. Every area Israel leaves in southern Lebanon becomes an opportunity for Hezbollah to rebuild, rearm, and prepare for another October 7th-style attack.Permanent Israeli security control in southern Lebanon is not a luxury. It is a necessity.And if Israel truly wants lasting security for the north, the IDF must eventually push Hezbollah back to the Litani River—the nearest defensible geographic line for protecting Israel’s northern communities.The deeper lesson is simple: do not place your faith in politicians, agreements, or headlines.Place your faith in God, in the strength of the Jewish people, and in our historic responsibility to defend our sovereign homeland.The road ahead will not be easy. President Trump has announced another potential deal with Iran, and many people are already reacting with fear, anger, or excitement.My message is simple: Don't panic.Some people misunderstand me. They assume that when I say not to panic, I mean the deal will never happen. That is not what I am saying. I have no idea whether it will happen or not. What I do know is that no agreement will change the fundamental nature of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The regime's jihadi ambitions, its hatred of Israel or the USA, and its desire to spread its jihad throughout the world are not going away because of signatures on a piece of paper.The real lesson is that we must stop placing our faith in human leaders.Whether Trump succeeds or fails, whether a deal is signed or not, the Jewish nation must place its faith in God alone. At the same time, we must continue doing what is necessary to ensure that the evil Islamic Republic of Iran can never again threaten Israel, the free world, or even its own suffering citizens.Jihadi Islam remains the greatest threat to civilization. No agreement signed in Washington changes that reality.More important than any announcement coming out of Washington was the recent declaration by Israel's Defense Minister. He made it clear that Israel will not withdraw from its security zones in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza, that the IDF will continue defending Israel from forward positions, and that Gaza's jihadi infrastructure must be dismantled. He also spoke about advancing migration from Gaza and rebuilding Jewish communities in northern Gaza.That is the news people should be paying attention to.It signals that Israel is continuing to move forward with the lessons of October 7th. It signals that Israel understands that security is achieved through strength, presence, and control—not wishful thinking.The next step must be even clearer: applying Israeli sovereignty to every area liberated from our jihadi enemies. Whether in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, southern Lebanon, or southern Syria, lasting victory comes when Israel takes responsibility for securing and developing the land rather than leaving vacuums that our enemies inevitably fill.The lesson of October 7th is simple.
