About this episode
This episode explores how the resurrection of Jesus transforms our understanding of gain and loss in relation to knowing Christ.
In Philippians 3, Paul shows how the resurrection of Jesus changes everything. What once counted as gain in his life, his background, his achievements, his righteousness, is now counted as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. This passage exposes how easily we build our lives on a kind of spiritual resume, either trusting in our goodness or despairing over our failures, and calls us to let go of both. This Easter Sunday sermon explores the great reversal at the heart of the gospel and what it means to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are given a righteousness not earned but received, and invited into a new way of living shaped by His power. The message calls us to leave behind confidence in ourselves and to live by faith in the One who transforms both our standing before God and our daily lives.
