On this episode, we reveal our suprise guest that we have been hinting at for weeks as the owner and creator of Redemption joins us to talk about how the game got started and how it has progressed through the years. There was plans to include some conversation with Jake reviewing recent spoilers and talk about our expectations for Nationals, but unfotunately the audio we recorded was substandard so we are not releasing that. I considered holding off on sharing the interview with Rob until I could frame a better complete episode around it, but didn't want to withhold it from you all. I was the junior member of the team (being only 24) when we licensed Scattergories to Milton Bradely (now part of Hasbro). I was Mr. Degen’s agent until 1999 when I left Cactus Services, Inc. to focus full time on Cactus Game Design. This week's episode features an extended "Agur the Creator" segment with special guest Tyler Stevens who is the lead set designer for the game. We pick his brain on design philosophy and review some of his favorite cards he has created before wrapping up with designing (in theory) a new Agur card for the modern game. In addition to this, we have a ton of tournament results to go over which shook up our Power Rankings. **We did experience some issues with our recording that made its way into the final edit as there was no way to completely work around it. The issue may be from our setup for Jake or could be an issue with our recording platform as they just added a ton of features that may have created some bugs. What you will hear is degraded audio in small clips (1-2 seconds usually) when Jake speaks. Longer sections of audio are clear, but you will get the degraded audio from time to time.
