| 2/15/26 | ![]() Mick Egan and Mick McKenna | The late seventies were a trying time for everyone involved with the Bulldogs, as success was very hard to achieve. Supporters were craving another premiership and a talented and dedicated group of players was slogging it out for little reward in the win-loss column. Inside the inner sanctum there was justifiable optimism, as a core group of players was building the platform for future success. Michael Egan and Michael McKenna were two who earned their chance to don the red, white and blue, rising through the under 19s and reserves to become key members of the emerging Bulldogs team. Egan chalked up 128 games and McKenna 80 before both departed the kennel in less than happy circumstances. The two Micks remember the good and bad times of their years at the club and share those memories warts and all in this episode of the podcast. The Two Dogs Podcast Hosted by Kevin Hillier. | 9/2/25 | ![]() Jason Watts & Jamie Grant | In the early nineties, as the club emerged from the shadow of the merger, many a talented young footballer donned the red, white and blue in search of an AFL career. The common thread was their love of the game and the pride and passion with which they wore the colours. Now, a few decades on, two of those past players Jason Watts (1994-1998, 57 games 51 goals) and Jamie Grant (1990-1992, 5 games 1 goal) share their memories from the good old days at Whitten Oval and what they are up to now. | 7/28/25 | ![]() Darren Arthur and Andrew Gigacz - Bulldogs Through & Through. | As part of the celebrations for the 100th year of the club, supporters can get their hands on a new publication - Bulldogs Through & Through (Slattery Books) which traces the highs and lows of the history of the Footscray Football Club. Club historian Darren Arthur and writer Andrew Gigacz have carefully crafted a meticulous chronicle of the Bulldogs, from the blurry beginnings somewhere in the late 1800s to the elite sports organisation it is in 2025. Packed with red, white and blue nostalgia in words and pictures, this beautifully presented book is a credit to the two authors and the publishers. Presented by Kevin Hillier In many ways, they could not be more polar opposites, especially in football speak. Their friendship began with car pooling to and from the Whitten Oval but grew beyond fuel gauge games and musical choices to a bond that is as strong today as during their playing days.
