About this episode
Ryan Eras discusses the founding of Niagara Classical Academy and the significance of classical Christian education.
Ryan Eras, headmaster of Niagara Classical Academy sits down to talk with us about why they're starting a Classical Christian Academy in the Niagara region, what it's about and why it's important. A classical and Christian education is a method of teaching and of seeing the world. It has its origins in the classical, Greco-Roman era of history. It is a very time-tested method of education to train people to become self-governing citizens. It is interested in what makes something good, true, and beautiful, or what keeps it from being those things. A classical Christian education is a deliberate work of forming the soul of the student. The academics are rigorous, but our emphasis is on modelling and cultivating virtue rather than academics because unless virtue is being practiced, academics cannot follow. ▶️ UP NEXT: Public School vs Christian Education ✅ Niagara Classical Academy: https://niagaraclassical.com/ ✅ Follow on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/niagaraclassical/ ✅ Check out upcoming events: https://niagaraclassical.com/about/events/ *RESOURCES* 📘 Classical Education and the Homeschool - https://amzn.to/4c2Rc4W 📘 Wisdom and Eloquence: A Christian Paradigm for…
