About this episode

Chad discusses recent developments in THORChain, including the potential addition of Monero and new ideas for the protocol.

In this podcast, Chad goes over the most recent developments, like the adoption of rapid swaps, voting for POL, adding Monero with Boone's help, the latest AI developments, and his new three ideas! Swap now on THORChain https://swap.thorchain.org/ without KYC or limits! TL;DR: Community member @BooneW has built a working Monero chain client using AI tools and a FROST signing implementation. Chad says $XMR could be added to THORChain within months, possibly the next chain after Zcash. Nodes will soon vote directly on what percentage of system income goes to Protocol Owned Liquidity (POL), replacing the old incentive pendulum and ADR24 proposal. Chad shared three forward-looking ideas he's researching: concentrated liquidity powered by the app layer's oracle system, flash loans for arbitrageurs, and a decentralized UI deployment platform. @Maya_Protocol agreed to test 2-second block times first as a "canary chain" before THORChain implements the change. A stablecoin fee experiment may lower stable-to-stable fees to 1-2 bips to capture volume from NEAR, which does ~$100M daily in stablecoin swaps alone. You can find Rayyyk’s full write-up on X…
