In my 5 decades of ministry, I have heard the cries and confessions of too many Christians who suffered spiritual and sexual abuse by a pastor, priest, youth pastor, or spiritual leader. Those in ministry who are called to protect, and insure safe places, have instead betrayed a holy trust, defiled innocence, shattered faith, and misused the name of God. For all who are still hiding in the dark shadows of sexual abuse and spiritual betrayal, today I remind you that Jesus, the Good Shepherd, does not abandon His lambs, especially those who are wounded.
