Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” He invites us into the light — to himself. Scripture also tells us that people avoid the light because they fear what will be exposed. But what if hiding isn't just something unique to people who don’t follow Jesus? What if fear, shame, rejection, and old wounds can remain buried deep within us—even when we genuinely know Jesus and have been completely forgiven?When we accept the gift of eternal life, we come into the light. It’s free. It’s undeserved. This is the unique and profound gospel of grace. Jesus has finished the work of salvation. But where does the hard work of sanctification fit in? Is it possible we become fearful of a ‘works gospel’ and so minimise the essential work of being transformed, renewing our minds, and opening wide our hearts?What might happen if, instead of defending, blaming or shaming ourselves, we became curious—and simply asked Jesus, “Where in my heart am I hiding from you?” And what part does community play in the process of opening our hearts? Jesus’ invitation is not condemnation, it’s freedom. To open wide your heart and let yourself be known.

Within each of us are all the resources we need to grow in the fruits of the Spirit. When we worship and gaze into His presence with captivated awe, we are being transformed by the Spirit of God and simultaneously transformed from one glory to another! Watch out for the "Joy Stealer" this Summer, who will try to rob your joy by first stealing your hope. When we are hopeless, we are joyless! So stay full of hope in His ability to lead you in all things, then Joy will be the overflow of that mindset!

In “Sowing for the Seasons” Charlotte explores the metaphor of seeds and seasons to present the idea that God gives us seed that is specific for the season we are in.She encourages us to value that seed and the season and sow the seed at the right time so we can make the most of the opportunities in front of us.There are things we can only do in the season we’re in right now - this place with these people. Seed is sown months before the harvest, we don’t sow to see a harvest now but we sow in obedience to God and wait with hope for the harvest. May you be encouraged and strengthened to recognise, value and steward your seed and your season.

The question asked is do we seek Jesus for him or what he can provide? The seed of intimacy has eternity as its timeline.
