In a twist of fate, the wealthy yet indifferent Kin-Fo finds himself stripped of his fortune and contemplating death. He enlists the help of his friend Wang to end his life by a specific date. However, everything takes a dramatic turn when Kin-Fo discovers that he is not as destitute as he believed. This revelation sparks an adventurous journey across China as he races to find Wang and cancel their grim pact.
