Vørtice Pødcast - By Sâmia Gribl About @lucascastro_official Lucas Castro dove early into the world of electronic music. Influenced by his DJ uncle, he had the privilege of jumping from Summer Eletrohits straight into Schranz and Drum’n’Bass: by the age of 10, he was already into tracks like 'Cachaça' by Mvtica and 'Ready 4 This' by DJ Hazard. With the help of the classic Ishkur’s Guide to Electronic Music and a CD collection gifted by his uncle, he began exploring the genres and subgenres of electronic music. At 13, in the city where he grew up, he had his first gig at a local club — the beginning of a path that would lead him to create different projects and aliases over the years, moving across various styles. Under his self-titled Dark Techno project, Lucas Castro released three tracks on German labels and performed at events within São Paulo’s underground scene, such as Clube dos Lenhadores (back when it took place at Boteco das Antiga), Vortex 323 (1st edition), Techno Bass, Freak House, Mortal Techno, among others. He also organized the now-defunct La Pomme and the Techno 495 project, in addition to having briefly taught at Oficina DJ. After a short hiatus, Lucas resumes…
