Actor Johnny Whitaker Returns! (Family Affair - Sigmond & The Sea Monster) Johnny Whitaker is an American former child actor best known for his work in television and film during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Born on December 13, 1959, in Van Nuys, California, he began acting at a very young age and quickly became a familiar face on family-oriented shows. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Jody Davis on the sitcom Family Affair, where his red hair and freckled charm made him a fan favorite. Whitaker also starred as the title character in the musical film Tom Sawyer (1973), further cementing his status as one of Hollywood’s most recognizable child stars of that era.
