Buzz buzz buzz, and welcome back to the Yellowjackets Hive! For Emily's first livestream of 2026 that is dedicated to Yellowjackets and the upcoming final season. It only felt right to add to the recent buzz and news that's been released regarding the cast FINALLY heading back to Vancouver to start filming the final season, and some casting announcements as well. For this episode, I hope you've got your tin foil hats ready and waiting! We all still have A LOT of unanswered questions about what may end up playing out when the show returns later this year. So join me in the fun of analyzing, dissecting, and endlessly speculating about theories pertaining to the final season that are floating around the fandom. Some topics discussed: Akilah's potential fate moving forward (especially after they released news stating she has been promoted to a series regular), a possible return to the wilderness in the present day, a potential Final Destination tie-in, how things could end up playing out for both Jeff and Callie, and a whole lot more. Theorizing is one of my favorite aspects of podcasting, so this episode was a ton of fun to prepare for and discuss. There is a possibility of a follow-up/part 2 episode regarding theories about the final season. That will happen closer to when the show is back on the air, so keep your eyes peeled for an announcement about that when the time comes!It's such a treat to be chatting about the show that got me into podcasting and content creation once again. It's a little bittersweet knowing that this is the last time we'll get the chance to craft theories and figure out plot points week to week. But I'm going to make sure that we have an absolute blast the entire ride. Buzz buzz buzz Yellowjackets Hive! Buzz in for the October (I apologize for the delay in uploading to Spotify!) installment in our character deep dive series. We are rounding out the last of our main characters in this deep dive, one very close to my heart, Miss Natalie Scatorccio herself. Although Natalie was not physically present in the adult timeline of season 3, it's apparent that her memory will never fade. I mean come on, Misty took her leather jacket from that storage locker and probably hasn't even taken it off to shower. Nat will never truly die for MFQ. We dive deep, discussing her role as a leader amongst the group in the wilderness, the role she played in their eventual rescue, her relationship with Travis, the decisions and choices she made to protect both herself and others, what happened post-wilderness, and A LOT more.Nat has been such an integral part of the story so far, with both Juliette Lewis and Sophie Thatcher helping to craft such a wonderfully deep and conflicted character. For today's episode we will be continuing on with our character deep dive series, featuring none other than our resident storyteller extraordinaire, Van Palmer herself. While Van's arc in the present day may have been short-lived, it was nevertheless important and impactful, for reasons we will discuss. We will also go through Van's arc overall, her wavering belief in "it", and of course her relationship with Tai. We will also do a little speculating about what the ripple effects of her death could be in the present day.For the month of October we will forge on and cover Natalie. Don't forget, October begins Off Season Specials, with coverage of the new Apple TV+ show "The Last Frontier", which premieres October 10th! Buzz buzz buzz Yellowjackets Hive and welcome back for the latest installment in the character deep dive series! For the month of August, we are diving deep into the world of the ever mythical and always enigmatic, Lottie (Charlotte) Matthews. Lottie has always been somewhat of a mystery. Why did her parents send her to Switzerland of all places? What was her transition like once she was released? How did she start her "intentional community"? The mysteries surrounding Lottie, particularly in the present day, seem to be never-ending. And, what comes next for Lottie in the wilderness? We know she doesn't want rescue to come, so what is the next step for her after Nat reveals she made contact with the outside world? My guess is, that whole situation won't go over well. Speculate along with me as to what we could see next from Lottie out in the woods.For the month of September we will be covering none other than our resident storyteller, Van Palmer. Then in October we will dive into Nat! No date has been set yet for these so keep your eyes peeled for an announcement on social media within the next few weeks. We spend A LOT of time mulling over the many questions and mysteries that Yellowjackets has presented to us, such as who is Pit Girl (tough break, Mar) and who is the Antler Queen? For this episode, we will touch upon some of the secondary mysteries of the show that have kind of faded into the background. Some may never be answered, so let's hear your thoughts on the matter. We will touch upon the necklace's journey, the shared Man With No Eyes hallucination, and much more.
