Katy Vernon is a Minneapolis-based musician. “I write honest songs but accompany myself on the ukulele; it's a bouncy, fun instrument. And I’msinging about alcoholism and mental health.” Katy started writing music at a young age. “I started writing poems and songs when I was twelve; it was a way for me to express my inner thoughts and feelings.” Katy moved to the States when she met and married her husband, and she started taking music seriously during that time. “I’ve been writing and performing music for over twenty years.” Katy also performs in an ABBA tribute band, as well as solo projects and band projects.
