Matthew Barrett is a musician, teacher, and Arts Administrator. He's been involved in music and arts for most of his life. Matthew graduated from St.F.X. with a music degree and has since played and recorded with many groups both in the Maritimes and in Labrador. He's played several venues and festivals around Atlantic Canada and has been nominated both as a music educator and a musician for several awards (Music PEI and Music NL). Matthew has also been involved in organizing of many music and arts events over the years. Newfoundland duo Fortunate Ones’ second album Hold Fast is a study in resilience and partnership.  And Catherine Allan and Andrew O’Brien know a lot about what it takes to make a good partnership.
