Best Music Podcasts

CastFox tracks the Apple Podcasts Music category every day and keeps the history, so this is chart data rather than an editor's shortlist. Between February 24 and October 18, 2026 we took 29 snapshots of the US category top 100, saw 281 different shows pass through it, and followed each one across the 78 country charts we cover. The order below follows the most recent snapshot, so it moves as the chart moves.

The top of this category is stable: 37 of the 40 highest-scoring shows held a place in every one of the 29 snapshots, and The Joe Budden Podcast averaged a US rank of 1.5. Reach is what separates them. PRISMATIC held a top 100 place in 67 of the 78 countries we track, Defected Radio in 61 and Markus Schulz presents Global DJ Broadcast in 54, while 12 of the 40 charted in three countries or fewer.

Music is several formats sharing one chart. Of the 40 strongest shows, 10 carry Apple's Music Commentary label, eight are filed as Music Interviews and three as music history, and six are DJ mixes or dance radio feeds rather than talk shows. Ownership is concentrated at the top: iHeartPodcasts accounts for four of the 40, its joint venture with The Volume for three more and The Ringer for three.
