What a let down.   After high hopes that a 90 year mystery would finally be solved, a team of U.S. researchers are leaving a remote island empty-handed after suspected ‘plane debris’ was, in fact,  a clump of trees   The expedition arrived at Nikumaroro in the South Pacific after years of research and a hope that the team had finally located Amelia Earhart’s plane.  Previous visits to the uninhabited island found signs of a castaway camp, a 1930s-era woman’s shoe and other evidence attributed to the celebrity aviator, including glass from a cosmetics freckle cream jar.  But for now, the mystery continues. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A shocking story out of Wichita, Kansas:  A 34-year-old mom with two of her kids in the backseat, drove through a soccer field killing a 6-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man. Five kids between the ages of 5 and 9 were also injured, along with 5 other adults. It was not the interview most people were expecting to see on Fox News: Sean Hannity asking tough questions, complete with follow ups for 41-year old Katie Zacharia. The newly installed and immediately embattled press secretary was trying to clear up questions and confusion over her qualifications to refer to herself as a lawyer. It took several attempts by Hannity to get Zacharia to admit she never took the bar again after failing it the first time. At one point, Hannity asked her a question many of us have been asking: “Why didn’t you just say, ‘I never practiced law?'”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

**UPDATE Since this episode was recorded, TMZ says prison officials have pushed back on the reports that Diddy's injury was a result of the fight with Christopher Coke.  Though, they don't explain how Diddy was injury.** ================================ The head injury that landed Sean “Diddy” Combs in the hospital reportedly came from a fight with a fellow inmate, but not just any inmate.  Diddy reportedly got a beatdown from notorious Jamaican drug lord Christopher “Dudus” Coke who has an entire Netflix episode devoted to him and his life of crime.  The fight apparently broke out because Coke, along with several other inmates, were angry after prison officials conducted several raids following the NBC report exposing Diddy’s privileged prison life.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia took the California bar exam after graduating from Pepperdine Law School, but did not pass. This, after the New York Times was able to briefly talk to Zacharia on the phone where she claimed she couldn’t hear when a reporter asked her in what state she passed the bar. Instead, she said she assumed she was asked where she went after graduating law school…. And that’s why she replied “When I was in China?” Zacharia also went on to say the president of her law school told her she could call herself a “lawyer” but she could not refer to herself as an “attorney.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A left leaning non-profit, The Campaign for Accountability, has officially filed a complaint with the California State Bar Association, asking for an investigation into White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia’s claims that she is a lawyer. To date, there is no evidence that Zacharia is licensed to practice law in any state, yet Zacharia has repeatedly stated in more than a dozen TV appearances that she is a lawyer. The watchdog group is asking the state bar association to refer Zacharia to state prosecutors, where she could be face a misdemeanor, “punishable by up to one year in a county jail or by a fine of up to $1,000” or both. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A disturbing story out of the Pocono Mountains; police say a 27-year-old woman stabbed her 3-year-old son and her husband to death while they were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains. Metallica Harrison has been charged with two counts of murder after she called 9-1-1 to tell the dispatcher she “needed help dying” and that her husband and son were “already gone.” The family had been on an extended vacation at the resort and while police have no known motive in this case, what Harrison said after they arrived, sounded eerliy similar to the Lindsay Clancy case.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
