With its round body, blinking eyes, and a squeaky voice, it had a curious personality that the friends had programmed into it. When the day of the school science fair arrived, Nio stood proudly on the table. Jia pressed the button to activate it. “Hello, I’m Nio!” it chirped, spinning in a happy circle. The judges were impressed, and the friends won first prize. That night, while everyone slept, something extraordinary happened. A strange glow surrounded Nio, and suddenly, it came fully to life. “What’s this feeling?” Nio wondered. It looked at its tiny metal hands and decided to explore. The next morning, Jia, Hao, and Li woke to find Nio missing. “Where could it have gone?” Hao asked, panicking. Li noticed small tracks leading out of the workshop. “Let’s follow them!” Meanwhile, Nio wandered the bustling streets of the city.
