Christ With Coffee On Ice

Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about the times where we don't always feel the presence of God. It's a part of maturing in our relationship with Christ in understanding that we aren't always going to have grand and profound encounters. Sometimes we can interpret the lack of those encouters as God being far away from us so let's talk more about this and bring it back to what God promises us in scripture. "For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about how we can justify our sin and how that isn't a way God has called us to live. We are all guilty of this whether it's about one single sin or about your entire lifestlye. Ultimately, we all try to justify why we do the things that we do instead of looking to God first. "But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about confronting areas of our life that we maybe never fully allowed God to heal us in. The reality is that it won't always be easy to walk through that and we tend to want to blame everthing else but the possibility of God inviting us into deeper healing. Our prayer for this episode is that you find a sense of relatibility in something said today. "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve." You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious." 1 Corinthians 14:2 _____________________________________________ ☆ PRE-ORDER 'LOVE THAT LASTS' HERE: https://allyyost.com/en-usd/pages/book ☆ OUR NEW MERCH IS LIVE! Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Wednesday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost reads in Proverbs chapters 8 and 9. We talk about the contrast between wisdom and foolishness and how choosing wisdom is far more valuable than riches and it leads to life. So let's read the Word of God together and let us know if you'd like to continue reading Proverbs in our next episode :) "Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Wednesday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about discernment, trust, and how to tell who we should let near to us. There is a happy medium of not giving everyone full trust and the benefit of the doubt while also not completelty hardening our hearts. Jesus demonstrated this perfectly as there were select people Jesus fully trusted in His inner circle. So let's talk more about what that looks like and how we can steward our hearts responsibly. "But Jesus didn't trust them, because he knew all about people. No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person's heart." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Wednesday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about how it is a fight to follow Jesus. Not a fight where we need to find the strength within ourselves, but a fight where we are learning to fully lean on Him. We can find hope in the reminder and promise that there is a finish line at the end and that is eternity with Jesus. "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Wednesday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about the simple parts of being a follower of Jesus and how we shouldn't lose sight of those. It can be easy for us to start making our own plans and try to control everything and sometimes forget to sit with God and ask Him to examine our hearts. "Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Wednesday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about the reality of consuming social media and saturated Christian content. God is using social media in so many incredible ways but there are things we need to be weary of as well. At the end of the day, social media and even this podcast are just tools to allow us to learn more about Jesus but we shouldn't be the heart of our relationship with Him. "You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete." Hey y'all ! Welcome to another Wednesday with CWCOI ! In this week's episode, our host, Ally Yost talks about how sometimes as Christians, we can accidentally minimize trauma we've experienced in our lives. We don't define ourselves by the things that have happened to us but it is also important to recognize that they happened. Finding the balance between those two things can be hard so let's talk more about that today. Thankful that we serve a God who is a healer and deliverer. "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8 _____________________________________________ ☆ PRE-ORDER 'LOVE THAT LASTS' HERE: https://allyyost.com/en-usd/pages/book ☆ OUR NEW MERCH IS LIVE!
