Today's WPMT premiere is a celebration of the Broadway musical "Sherry!" which was inspired by the George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart play "The Man Who Came to Dinner." It tells the story of noted acerbic and egotistical radio personality Sheridan Whiteside who, on a lecture tour in a small Ohio town, slips on the ice on his way into the home of a prominent family during Christmas time. The local doctor says Whiteside must now remain confined having broken his leg. Once he is convalescing in the home, Whiteside begins to meddle with the lives of everyone in the household and comedy ensues.
