| 6/14/26 | ![]() MISS USA HOPEFUL KADA SCOTT MURDERED, SUSPECT ORDERED HELD FOR TRIAL | Keon King, the suspect accused of the October kidnapping and murder Kada Scott, will stand trial. He has pleaded not guilty to murder, kidnapping, and abuse of a corpse. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for June 24. Kada Scott's remains were found in a wooded area behind an abandoned school in East Germantown. She was last seen shortly after arriving for a shift at an assisted living facility in Chestnut Hill. Police began searching the area, near the vacant Ada H. Lewis Middle School for Scott after receiving a "very specific" anonymous tip. Police previously searched the area of the school and arboretum in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia but reported only finding some physical evidence, without commenting on what evidence was uncovered. Community members voice anger and frustration at police while gathering behind the crime scene tape during the search on Saturday, saying they could have found the body sooner. Keon King had a criminal record prior to his alleged involvement in Scott’s kidnapping. Investigators say King kidnapped and assaulted another victim earlier in the year. | 6/6/26 | ![]() Train-Stab Victim Iryna Zarutska's Alleged Killer Deemed Incompetent For Trial | Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, came to the United States with her family to escape her war-torn country for a better life. Iryna took English classes, had a job and was making a productive life for herself, but all her aspirations were cut short by an unprovoked violent attack from a man with a criminal history. Video shows Iryna getting on the train in Charlotte North Carolina, taking a seat and looking at her phone quietly. Video shows a passenger sitting directly behind Iryna, who we later came to know as Carlos Brown Jr. A close-up of Brown's hands can be seen opening and unfolding the knife in order to prepare to stand up to stab Iryna. Although Iryna's hat covers a lot of her face, the shock in her eyes, along with the terror she silently expressed during her final moments of life, bleeding out, surrounded by panic is heartbreaking to watch. Video also shows Brown, in an orange hoodie, walking the aisles of the train with blood dripping on the floor. One passenger notices blood drops and avoids stepping in it, while another witness on the phone with 911 tells them a man just stabbed a woman for no reason and she needs help. Moments after allegedly stabbing Iryna, Brown is captured on video non-chalantly walking the platform of the train station. On the train, Brown was wearing a hoodie, now he is wearing a black t-shirt, with the now bloody hoody, wrapped around his hands. A Grand jury indicted Brown, formally charging him with first-degree murder. Now medical experts have determined that he is incompetent to stand trial. | 6/4/26 | ![]() INSIDE TIGER WOODS' LUX SWISS REHAB | Tiger Woods arrested after rolling his vehicle during a two-car crash. According to police, Woods was attempting to pass a truck in front of him on a two-lane road in Jupiter Island, Florida, but Wood’s Range Rover clipped the back of the truck. No other vehicles were involved. Wood was able to crawl out of the passenger side window. Officers on the scene administered a breathalyzer test, with Woods blowing zero, negative for alcohol. Woods entered a written plea of 'not-guilty' to a DUI charge and was granted permission by Judge Darren Steele, to travel to Switzerland for rehab. Woods spent 40 days at the facility in intensive physical and psychological care before returning to the USA when girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, announced was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
