About this episode

Dr. Devon Caldwell discusses a collaborative project with her students that explores podcasting as a tool for authentic student voice in education.

In this special episode of Cultivating Connection , Dr. Devon Caldwell highlights a collaborative project created with her Nipissing University students in the Indigenous Teacher Education Program. This fully online course on technology-enriched teaching and learning invited future educators to explore the power of podcasting as a tool for authentic student voice. To experience the creative process firsthand, each teacher candidate contributed a short audio reflection responding to one of two prompts: “I want to become a teacher because…” or “In my own classroom, I plan to use technology to…” . The result is a rich collection of heartfelt reflections that celebrate why teaching matters and how technology can foster meaningful learning and connection. Tune in to hear the voices of tomorrow’s teachers—sharing their hopes, values, and visions for the classrooms they will soon lead.
