| 8/30/26 | THE GOOD LIFE | What does it actually mean to live the good life? This week on Don’t Miss This, Dave and Grace dive into Proverbs and Ecclesiastes to discover the patterns of living that lead to a life filled with wisdom, happiness, purpose, faith, and connection. From learning to rise again after we fall, to speaking words that bring life, embracing the season we’re in, building meaningful relationships, trusting God, and simply going out and doing good—these books offer timeless wisdom for navigating everyday life. We’ll also explore Proverbs 31 and what it means to be a person of valor: someone courageous, resilient, capable, faithful, strong, and willing to make a difference. The good life doesn’t mean a perfect life. It means learning to trust God and allowing Him to direct our path through every season. 📖 Come, Follow Me: Proverbs & Ecclesiastes 📅 September 7–13 CHAPTERS 0:00 Welcome to Don’t Miss This 3:25 Proverbs & Ecclesiastes 6:50 Where Proverbs Fits in the Old Testament 10:15 Solomon, Wisdom & Patterns for Living 14:10 Learning to Live “The Good Life” 18:35 One Proverb Every Day 21:05 Five Ways to Live a Happy Life 26:20 Proverbs 24 — Rise Up Again 29:40 Pleasant Words Are Like Honey 34:25 Ecclesiastes — “This Is Church” 38:15 Two Are Better Than One 41:30 There Is a Season for Everything 47:10 Everything Is Beautiful in His Time 50:45 Stop Waiting & Go Do Good 54:30 Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart 57:20 Proverbs 31 — A Woman of Valor 1:02:15 What It Means to Live With Valor 1:06:40 The Verbs of Proverbs 31 1:10:25 Living the Good Life 1:12:00 Final Thoughts Subscribe and join us each week as we study the scriptures together and discover the goodness and character of God. #DontMissThis #ComeFollowMe #Proverbs #Ecclesiastes #TheGoodLife #JesusChrist #BibleStudy #ScriptureStudy Sign up for the Don’t Miss This newsletter at www.dontmissthisstudy.com #dontmissthis #comefollowme NEWSLETTER LINK: The Don’t Miss This video, the prayer poster, and tip-ins for kids, teens, couples and individuals can all be found in this week’s newsletter. | 8/6/26 | WHEN HOPE IS GONE | When life feels overwhelming, where do you turn? This week on Don't Miss This, David Butler and Grace Freeman Smith explore Psalms 49–86, focusing on heartfelt prayers of lament, petition, hope, and trust. From David's plea for mercy in Psalm 51 to the comforting reminder that God keeps every tear, these Psalms teach us that bringing our sorrow to God is an act of faith—not weakness. Whether you're carrying grief, regret, anxiety, or simply searching for hope, these scriptures remind us that God draws near, hears our prayers, and transforms our hardest moments into something holy. ⏱️ Chapters 0:00 – Welcome & Summer of Psalms Part 2 2:12 – Why lament is an expression of faith 5:15 – Psalm 55: Cast your burdens upon the Lord 9:42 – Psalm 51: The Passover, repentance & being made clean 17:40 – David's greatest regret and God's mercy 24:08 – Psalm 61: When my heart is overwhelmed 29:18 – God is my Rock (Psalm 62) 33:02 – Psalm 56: God collects every tear 39:36 – Psalm 57: Refuge beneath His wings 46:58 – Psalm 84: The Valley of Baca becomes a well 55:12 – Turning your pain into blessings for others 1:02:21 – Psalm 73: Draw near to God 1:09:33 – Psalm 86: God is ready to forgive 1:15:18 – Psalm 77: When hope is gone 1:24:35 – Final thoughts & New Testament preview 📖 Scriptures Discussed Psalm 51 Psalm 55 Psalm 56 Psalm 57 Psalm 61 Psalm 62 Psalm 73 Psalm 77 Psalm 84 Psalm 86 💬 Key Takeaways Lament is not the absence of faith—it is faith in action. God invites us to cast every burden upon Him. Even our greatest regrets can become stories of redemption. God knows every tear and never forgets our sorrow. When our hearts are overwhelmed, Christ is our Rock. The valleys we walk through today can become wells that bless others tomorrow. Hope is never truly gone when we remember who God is. 🙏 If this message strengthened your faith, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who may need this reminder today. | 8/3/26 | NOW I SEE GOD | NOW I SEE GOD by Grace Freeman Smith & David Butler | — | ||||||
| 7/26/26 | A GOOD DAY | In this episode of Don’t Miss This, Dave Butler and Grace Freeman study the book of Esther, one of the Bible's most remarkable stories of courage, faith, and redemption. Although God's name is never mentioned in the book, His hand can be seen on every page as He quietly prepares people and circumstances to bring about deliverance. Esther reminds us that even when the Lord seems absent, He is still writing a story of hope. As Queen Vashti, Mordecai, and Esther each make courageous choices, the discussion explores how God often works through ordinary people who are willing to trust Him. From unexpected opportunities to faithful friendships and timely acts of courage, every moment reveals that the Lord is present in ways we may only recognize when we look back. The story invites us to reflect on where we have already seen God's hand in our own lives. The episode also highlights Mordecai's famous reminder that Esther may have come "for such a time as this," encouraging us to trust that God has been preparing us long before we realize what lies ahead. Rather than calling only a few people to great acts of service, the Lord invites each of us to participate in quiet rescues, strengthening and lifting those He has placed in our path. Above all, the story of Esther points to Jesus Christ, whose redeeming power turns mourning into joy and fear into hope. Just as the decree of death was reversed and became a day of celebration, the gospel promises that every sorrow can one day be transformed. Because of Christ, our story is never finished on its hardest day. The Lord is still at work, leading us toward the good day He has prepared.
